The gigantic bamboo garden

The famous, almost magical bamboo forest of Prafrance is located near Anduze and was created in 1856 by Eugène Mazel, a native of the Cevennes passionate about botany. It is a wonderful exotic garden that invites you to stroll. The soothing avenues, surrounded by tall bamboo; the Valley of the Dragon, the beautiful Japanese zen garden; the Measles greenhouses with scented plants and exotic flowers; the Laotian village with typical bamboo structures; the water garden, endlessly peaceful with its koi carp, water lilies and lotuses… Highly recommended for a day trip.
